Yeah I’ve lived in Shreveport for 10 years now and have never been inside any of the casinos

I don’t know anyone that goes regularly either

Oh I went plenty when I was young and just played penny slots and got free drinks before going out to the bars.

But it's not like we were all degenerate gamblers.

Shreveport/Bossier for sure. How old a baw are you and in what area of Shreve would your office be located? I say that because going from North Bossier to South Shreve can be a booger at rush hour.

And the casino thing doesn't really even come into play. Having casinos nearby shouldn't have any effect on a sane person, but they can be fun from time to time for concerts etc.

Shreveport gets a lot of unfair hate from 2 different types of people. Those that have barely spent any time in the city and hate it because it isn't New Orleans and and those who have lived there long enough for it to get old and just resent that they couldn't get out of the city they grew up in.

Plenty of people visit and love it and plenty of people stay and make something of their lives there and love it. Haters gonna hate no matter what I guess.

I'm in my late 20's and like having a place with stuff to do. I was miserable in Monroe... no lie was depressed. transferred to Shreveport and have been really happy with the move.

We moved from Shreveport to West Monroe about 7yrs ago - if you have kids West Monroe has better schools. I would say if you have to travel either airport is a piece of cake and small but limited flights and expensive. We have enjoyed living here.

Lived in both for 15+ years. Monroe and not close. Better food, a university for recreation/sports, slightly better hunting and fishing, an hour closer to tiger stadium.

Both Suck so I'd choose the one that's closer to where you really want to be.
