I've never lived in nor around Shreveport. If you decide to go the Monroe route, go to some place like Calhoun or northern West Monroe to avoid the downward spiral of Monroe and avoid the small of the paper mill.

Shreveport gets a lot of unfair hate from 2 different types of people. Those that have barely spent any time in the city and hate it because it isn't New Orleans and and those who have lived there long enough for it to get old and just resent that they couldn't get out of the city they grew up in.

Shreveport sucks, I spent a decent amount of time working there. It's awful.

Shreveport if you don't know anybody at either place. It's bigger and there is more to do. Neither are great. But better than any fettid sinking shithole squaller you'll encounter in South LA.

Shreveport.

Live in South Higlands or Broadmoor.

Bossier traffic sucks and it’s nothing but a bunch of culs-de-sac and shopping centers. South Higlands or Broadmoor.

But that's because I'm guessing yo are an old dude who has different needs/wants.

Those under 40, there's literally nothing to do in northeast Louisiana. Took Monroe years to even get a few respectable restaurants
