I've been leaving Saturday mornings from Nola for every LSU home game. The most traffic for me is always in Kenner. After the game is a different story, but I leave the next day. I have had zero issues with baton rouge traffic for 7 different weekends now.

Drove from Nola thru BR at 10:30am yesterday with no problem. Continued up I-49 to Shrevesville and I-20 to Dallas making great time until 30 miles outside Dallas on I-20. Three wrecks into Dallas and a traffic backup at I-30 and 635 = 1.5 hours to make that last 30 miles. Dallas laughs at BR traffic.

The Sunday after Thanksgiving is the worst day for traffic in br. Brpd motors and traffic units are specially assigned to work just the interstate.

Don’t get on I 10 or I 12 west bound. Parking lot from airline to miles past the Miss R bridge. 190 is your only hope.

You decided to drive on statistically the most traveled day of the year. Congrats.

I never quite understood why people don’t take off Monday and drive back tomorrow instead of today? Wouldn’t you be better off leaving with minimal traffic tomorrow?

If it took a decade I’d be ok with it. If JBE wants to be moderate get with Trump before they’re both out of there and break ground on it.

Then you just missed everything. I left BR at 930am and made it to my house in Pearland in 6.5 hrs. Huge slowdowns every 30-50 miles.
