Where are you getting this information comparing the two?

This is the last published data. Insurance companies do not like to publish data because it invites more lawsuits. You have to extrapolate the data to compare with the number of claims against Catholic priests each year.

I think this is a fair question. My question is this, why is there a higher incidence of sex abuse claims (reported to insurance carriers) amongst Protestant religions because neither of your scenarios is applicable to them?

Because the Catholic church pays claims to victims out of church funds and nothing is reported to a insurance carrier. I have yet to see any reporting of a worldwide cover up of widespread sexual abuse by a protestant church, incidents of individual clergy committing such acts among protestants while repulsive is not in the same universe as what was orchestrated by the leadership of the Catholic church.

Are Protestant pastors just monsters because they are able to marry and have sex?

To be sure, terrible sin occurs on both sides, but for whatever reason it's usually not same sex pedophilia for the Protestants. I'd imagine the Catholic all boy schools haven't helped the priests?

Plus, is it a much larger coverup because you never mention the abuse claims against them?

Hell. No. Only the unity, power, and solidarity of the Catholic Church can successfully cover up such a scandal. Protestant churches too independent and are wayyy too mouthy for such a feat.

And you would be wrong. You don't know half of the story. But the short version is that my local parish priest, in Texas, came to my hospital bedside and "counseled" me to keep my mouth shut. So they violated their own agreement. They reached out to Texas and threatened me, and by extension my family, and another victim. So now it is public. You can't shut me up.

Wow that is seriously fricked up. But hey, it’s the Catholic Church, originators of do as we say, not as we do.

I hope you don’t shut up about this ever. Sing it loud and clear. And ignore all the ignorant “but it’s muh Jesuit” tools in here. The things that happened to you are sanctioned, or at least condoned, from the top down.

The Roman Catholic Church will have to suffer the same fate as Jesus Christ --CRUCIFIXION.

After the Roman Catholic Church is Crucified and dead, it will be Resurrected.

And so, we await the Crucifixion.

There was a priest/brother at Brother Martin who was very touchy feely with the students. I would bet money he did something with a few students. Can't remember his name though

I haven't been in any Protestant churches that have a nearly naked Jesus on the cross. It's in nearly every Catholic church. The eroticism is pervasive.

Get the frick out of here with that bull shite, and it’s interesting your mind works that way..

You think Christ was put on the cross in a three piece suit..?

He was naked, most crucifixes are pretty modest actually...

I don't have to give back anything. It was the Jesuits who first breached the contract. And if they want to sue me, the victim, well, I'll gladly be a poster boy for that news story too.

Don't let any of this stuff defeat you, brother.

The problem is that, from before the day that you or I were born, the Catholic Church was infiltrated by two groups: political Leftists and male homosexuals. The male homosexuals were able to thoroughly embed themselves in the administrative structure of the Church -- again, from probably before you and I were born. This cabal has been able to exercise a great deal of control over Church matters. They've covered for each other. They have protected each other.

But their reign of power won't last forever. Their day of reckoning approaches.

Stay strong. Keep the Faith. Remember this:

"And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this Rock I will build my Church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it."
