Aren't "in game" threads scores updated as the event unfolds?

this needs to adopt soccer score rules and have no score/show data in the title

WHEN, as in what time, is this on? The regular jeopardy was on at the regular time here.

Prime time baby!

I'm curious what the numbers looked like, and the drop off from Jeopardy:GOAT to mixedish that followed...

enjoy the game, but my only issue is that of the success is just the ability to work the button; and that advantage probably accelerates the longer someone is on the show.

Yep, it’s not like a normal game of Jeopardy. These guys know almost everything. There’s not much suspense

Man, the questions in that second round were impossible. I barely knew any of them after knowing a majority of them in the first round.

Ken still the best.

and i certainly wouldn't count brad out. bad day for him, but he started to heat up and he won't miss every DD.

He also won't select nearly as many DD as he got yesterday. But for a guy who went double or nothing repeatedly, damn impressive totals going into final jeopardy.

One of the complaints about Jeopardy is that it rewards buzzer reflexes instead of actual knowledge about the clue.

I want James to win, but I don't really care who wins.

I am just enjoying good tv.

Can’t imagine that is a very similar audience

Well, if you buzz in first and don't know the answer... how does that turn out?

I was excited when I got the Elvis question right, and one of the guys missed it.

I knew very few of the questions.

Yea but you can be the quickest on the buzzer all you want, but you still have to know the answer no matter what.

One thing I noticed with Ken tonight was that, when he got a big lead, he started winning the buzzer on almost every question. If any of them gets a big enough lead where they can afford to lose some money, it becomes ALL about the buzzer. They may not even read the question with Alex, they just try to time the buzzer and then read the question when called on. The odds of them knowing the answer to any random question is higher than the odds of them winning the buzzer, so their focus is there.

I have to say they nailed this format. It’s not about who is the “smartest,” it’s about who is the best at playing the game Jeopardy. Brad had a bad night but his margin of defeat doesn’t matter. Technically he and James had an equally bad night. It just translates to 1 point for Ken.

Regarding the comment to eliminate the DDs for this, I think part of the game is DD strategy. It would be sort of a cheat to determine the GOAT while removing a standard feature of the game.

James got NO Daily Doubles during the two games out of 6.

I think Ken had some luck on his side, but that's part of the game's attraction.

Ken said in an interview years ago this was part of his strategy, especially in categories he was comfortable with and for the lower dollar clues.

I found it refreshing that Ken and Brad used the same strategy as james used by going for the bigger dollar questions early and hunting for DDs

It worked for Ken but blew up in Brad’s face
