Can you tell me why his mom was misdiagnosed with PPD instead of Schizophrenia? Can you tell me why he has attachment issues? Oh do you know how those attachment issues caused the killing?

What the hell does this have to do with whether the police were hard asses about getting to see an ID or not that night? Were the police supposed to know everyone's entire history and backstory?

Go research Bambi Bebeneck and come back and discuss Milwaukee PD

If you can with a good conscious say MPD is clean then okay

Jesus, you're a moron. Of course hindsight is 20:20 with the Dahmer case. These point is 99.999% of similar situations would just end up being simple "lovers quarrels". And if the police were hard asses about it every single time you'd say that were always picking on them and it's totally unnecessary.

If the police were called to the same place several times and then one of those times there is someone who looks underage you don't think the police have a responsibility to check into that? They could have prevented that boy from being killed by simply doing more than taking Dalmer's word for it especially since the kid wasn't able to speak for himself.

If police were called to the same place several times in the hood and demanded IDs from everybody every time, no exception, and busted balls over not being able to produce an ID - you'd be on a fainting couch, posting about how these bigoted police just won't leave those people alone and they don't have to legally produce an ID for the cops anyway.

People like you talk out of both sides of your mouth. Like people in the ghetto who say "frick the police" and "snitches get stitches" but then cry when the police can't solve the murders (because no witnesses will speak with the police.)

You can't have it both ways. Do you want preventative policing or not?

This board would probably agree he was a hero. Anyone someone is caught doing any type of violent or sick crime everyone wants that person to hang. What happened to Dahmer was inevitable. Who cares what his motivation was?

The poster I was responding to said that racism wasn’t a part of Dahmer getting it whacked in the pen. I disagreed in that there is documentation of race being a motive.

I also agree that Dahmer wasn’t surviving regardless of who offer him. He hit that range of crimes that pissed off everybody.

I don't even know how to respond to this. Police are called out about a situation involving someone who appeared to be trying to get away from a person who lived at the apartment complex.

That person looked like a minor and appeared to be really drunk. The person it was assumed he was drinking with says he was of age. You think he would have said "yes officers I was contributing to a minor.

You don't think Dahmer knew what he was doing when he said they were lovers? What if he would have said "I am gay, but he isn't". Their first thought would have been "is he getting this person drunk so he can do gay stuff to him?".

That is completely different than going to an apartment complex in "the hood" and start demanding to see everyone's ID. You can't even compare the two,

No two situations are identical. Do you want police to heavily look into "fishy" issues or not? It doesn't matter if it's the remote 0.0001% chance it's a gay cannibal or not. It's the principle. You don't know what the situation is going to be until you look into it.

You're just Monday night quarterbacking this one instance. What do you want police to do as a general rule?

Just finished watching and have been reading up on Americans most prolific serial killers. Sam Little, Americas most prolific serial killer with a possible 90+ victims, was arrested 26 times by 1975 when was 35. He was acquitted for 2 of his murders one in MS and one in FL in the 80s before moving to California and committing dozens more murders. Maybe it was his privilege that got him off back then and back onto the streets.

He wasn’t arrested until a decade ago in 2012 and just died recently. Wonder why I never heard about him before today.

The show is pretty damn accurate..

According to whom? Several people that were involved already said the opposite. Hell the opening scene is a direct conflict of the survivor’s court testimony.

He testified he wasn’t gay yet Netflix has him acting like a queen and sucking on Dahmer’s finger.

There are some things the show got right but there are others the show took some liberties on.

I won't watch the show. Society tends to glamorize people who act as vessels for evil, rather than those who are making things better.

The chase is fascinating but either we're immune or have has our conscious' seared to the point we celebrate indirectly a man who killed 17 people and ATE them.

The world would be a lot better off if these types were regulated to wikipedia pages and forgotten history.

He killed what he could afford.

If he had been a millionaire, he would have killed in a different area. He just got away with it easier there for obvious reasons.

Police didn't give a shite. Especially in 1980s and 90s Milwaukee, what a dreary shithole to begin with.

They are absolutely trying to cash in on whitey bad, whitey police worse. It just so happens that this story fits that narrative well.

I didn't watch the Netflix version but did watch the 2 part series on Reelz 2 weeks ago, and Reelz did a really good job of just telling the story.

Goes to show you Netflix and Hollywood and how much bullshite they can put in there for the general public to see.

When a predator develops a certain taste for a certain type of prey, then yes. The prey within the net who take the bait become the likely victims.

This isn’t some new strange phenomenon. Some predators have a type and prey on them exclusively because that’s what satiates their hunger.

Now as to the why of how a predator develops a certain taste…who knows. But once a taste is developed then that will be the prey if it is available.

With Jeffrey, it seems he never wanted anyone to leave. So he would sprinkle the bone dust around the old house..finally ingesting them as a permanent way of keeping them with him forever.

What a lifelong weirdo though, and its strange when you can find any common ground. Like I know Jeffery liked Black Sabbath, Gacy liked Reo Speedwagon, and Bundy apparently wasn't a fan of any music and liked talk radio.

I guess I need to watch the show. I vaguely remember the LPOTL episode.

I’m more speaking in general. Everyone has a type. Serial killers to the next level.

Just like stop and frisk under Rudy in NYC. It got very positive results but people started yelling racism and it went away. Now New York is back to being a shithole.

Also the police officers did not get an officer of the year award, intentionally stirring things up just to do so.

Letting the drugged 14 year old go back with Dahmer was a huge mistake.
