I almost upvoted that but it was sitting at 81 which is the highest amount Kobe scored in a game so I couldn't do it.

I have thought it was crap since the early 80s.

We NEVER went to Fat City. Always went to Pat O's and Tulane/Loyola/Uptown bars: F&M Patio Bar, The Boot, Bruno's, Fat Harry's, Shanahan's, T.J. Quill's, etc.

It would have been very easy for Argus to have started earlier and/or cut Severn/Bonnabel off the route.
I guess the thinking is Argus is not worth by itself without trucks.

We hit those bars too but Fat City was a blast in the 80s. A different crowd and those awful strip joints. It earned the name Titty City.

Isolated good bars in metry off fat city

You left off AT2s, Hoffbrau, cooter browns,

Those metry bars were full of

Vengeful divorcees on the prowl

that was different about metairie. Fat city is crap now. Parades are crap now. Only huge positive is their mall is thriving when it used to be the shitty mall.

yup - when I was a teenager in the mid 1990s, my parents didn’t allow my brother and I to go by ourselves

Although we only ever ran into gunfire at oakwood

Tell me you gave it up too soon without saying you gave it up too soon.

Mid 90s were a lot worse than now. Not even close.

It was the highest grossing mall in early 70s till Acadiana mall beat it till oil bust in 80s then regained its number 1 spot which they have held since - in La.

Hardly shitty

in the 90s - if you wanted to get beat up - you went to lakeside

I didn’t live in Metairie, but my MawMaw lived in Fat City. We didn’t go to lakeside after dark. It was shitty despite whatever numbers awe out there.

My brother and I almost got beat up at the Taco Bell on vets one night in 1996. So we stuck with going to the one closest to our house - which was Tulane and Broad

lol - I love all the downvotes - we didn’t go to riverdale or Rummel so we were told we shouldn’t be there

They've should've canceled years ago. It's become a bunch of scumbags coming from all over the region.

I went to Cooter Brown's last night for cheese fries after walking from Napoleon and St. Charles.

I didn't go to the other bars you mentioned.
