Let's put this in perspective. If Jeff Bezos spent $20 of his est net worth for every second from July 4, 1776 until today 8/2/2020 he would still have approximately $25bil left over
People like Bezos are driven by success and greatness. Money is just a byproduct. Limiting people's ability to make money though can possibly affect their ability to pursue success though.

For this kind of thing, I believe exceptions to taxing the rich into oblivion could be found and made. Nobody needs to have such obscene levels of wealth. Not even me.
