I know LSU has sent me multiple emails to try and get tested since the tests are free. I don't see why you would even get tested unless you were required to by your employer or if you had symptoms.

Hospitals, or Oschner/its system may not be testing asymptomatic people, but the drive thru centers and the other urgent care clinics have been testing them constantly. There have been billboards for the last couple of weeks in Baton Rouge encouraging people to get tested at the drive thru places, with no mention whatsoever of symptoms.
Also, anyone can simply say they have symptoms and get a test.

YOu think maybe the fact that we are testing at the third highest rate per capita has somethign to do with that? Maybe stop handing out Bic Mac's to dumb arse's that get tested.

Urgent cares and other systems in our area all stopped asymptomatic testing, as we are running low on the reacting agent needed, we still have plenty of swabs
This should change I think next week finger crossed

Media across the country is drumming up people to get tested. Multiple times a day they tweet for people to, "Go get tested".
I'm not big on the idea of being around people who are likely sick and people who have been in direct contact with sick people for days on end just to add to their "Tested" tally.
