Because he doesn't have any solid information, only what a friend of a cousin's aunt told him what she thought her son said his boss said. Either that, or he knows but there's some kind of confidentiality clause in there and he just can't resist posting something without saying anything to make himself feel good.

He's the same kind of guy that'll post on the Coaching Changes board, say some really vague shite, then crow about how he knew it all along if his really vague shite can be applied to what actually ended up happening.

Unless someone has the knowledge and balls to post something concrete, they're all that guy, and that guy's full of shite.

Because there’s NDA’s and confidentiality agreements in place.

Good bit of the reason why BR ended up losing the Hawker-Beechcraft project...Columbus, MS opened their mouth and State of Kansas made sure they stayed.

A wild guess. A couple years ago I did a phone poll and I could tell it centered on the German company BASF. The largest chemical company in the world. Then within the last year I read they had plans to build their largest chemical plant somewhere in the Gulf South. I haven't heard anything about it lately. Maybe that's it. Maybe not.

Wait now that I think about it he says significant which could mean Entergy is moving out and their building is being converted to a Super 8 motel.

18hrs until the big reveal. I think if you knew you would be hyping it and not hiding it.

Why not announce it outside the gates in Geismar where they already hold plenty of land and have lots of reason to get good press.

They're afraid they'd get stuck on Hwy. 30 during a shift change and be late for the press conference.

If it's a plant... sure.

If it's North American HQ or some sort of engineering/finance center... it won't be in Geismar.

My only guess would be if BASF deadheads from Jersey to NOLA.

Which would be borderline insane since they just built the new LEED building with all the bells and whistles.

I'm sure it will be underwhelming, but the way they make this sound seems like it has to be bigger than IBM or something.

BASF just built a new state of the art corporate headquarters in 2012 in New Jersey. Would be absurd for them to abandoned that office building they essentially just moved into five years ago for New Orleans.
