Agree, and Kennedy will win. Easily. JBE is the last democrat governor or any stateswide elected official in Louisiana for the foreseeable, imo.

This is what you get when you meet a politician who is actively campaigning for votes. Did you think he was going to come off as an a-hole?
I've met some that do.

I voted for JBE twice.
I voted against him twice. Went with Vitter and Rispone.
I knew he was a fraud and a snake oil salesman because I actually vetted him.
And that included thins like looking into what his professional and political history is, what his voting record looks like, who supports him and wants him to win, who opposes him and wants him to lose, who he associates with, who his enemies are, what his political idols are and so on.
I came to a pretty quick conclusion that he’s the political twin of Edwin Edwards and is bad news for Louisiana and thus he did not get my vote.

I know plenty of nice guys and there’s not a chance in hell I want them representing my political and financial interests in the relevant political office.

He lost me as a supporter. Its easy to hate anything democrat.
glad to see he lost you as a supporter, now that you can't vote for him again. that's rich.
but rest assured, the next "moderate democrat" that comes along, you'll vote for and frick the rest of us all over again.

Not surprised. Can you say at least what kind of business it is?

Trump went on Fox News and called JBE a very good governor

I'll vote for Trump again, but I am not thrilled with how he's handled this whole thing.
ETA: And I'll be thrilled to vote for him again. He was in a no win situation, but he made some moves I'm not happy with

Trump likes anyone that sucks up to him and will say something nice back or even give them a job in the White House no matter how much of a liberal or GOP establishment hack they are.
It’s been the story of his presidency. And the most frustrating story.

What company would that be?

Here’s the crazy thing. I can agree that JBE has been doing a reasonable job managing this situation. As can Trump.
I can also agree that the stay at home order needed to remain in place provided the information presented and reasoning behind it is accurate/factual.
I can also support President Trump and disagree with some of his positions.
If we needed to keep the stay at home order for a reason, just be transparent with me. And if you use some data points to back up the extension, be truthful in how it’s presented. That was the premise behind the OP.

Im good with Trump saying this. JBE cant be reelected. Its probably viewed to be in poor taste to treat this as a time to worry more about politics than getting us through this mess.
Trump is doing it right by being nice. JBE did it wrong by using this politically in deciding to extend the order.
Just my view.

Trump isn’t infallible. He’s wrong on things, and this is one of them.

I clicked on the data link you provided in the OP but was having trouble finding the csv file in there. Can you point me in the right direction?

You may wanna go back and check your numbers for April 20th. I recreated your spreadsheet and I think I found an error there
As you can see, the cases for each parish that day match up on both of our spreadsheets (mine on the left and yours on the right). But your total at the bottom of that day is 2,708 while I have 2,662.
That throws off your cumulative cases as well as your new cases for that day. It also made your new cases for 4/21 go to zero because it would've made it negative if you simply took the difference in cumulative cases between the two days. But on 4/21 there were actually 46 new cases by my calculation.
In summary, you had
4/20 New cases: 124
4/21 New cases: 0
I have:
4/20 new cases: 44
4/21 new cases: 46
The rest of your numbers seem to be right but it did throw off your rolling averages slightly.
This is what the charts look like after my spreadsheet as of today (I realize the 28th and 29th aren't in yours but I left it in for informational purposes):

Thanks
I had a formatting error the first time I ran through the data and thought I had fixed each of them. I’ll update tonight.
