I will say that hospitals, at least in St. Tammany, are putting restrictions on elective surgeries again. That is not a good sign.

The news station said the system's doctors received an email from the president and CEO stating all surgeries that require someone to be admitted and observed will be canceled.

The St. Tammany Parish Health System reported a jump from 14 coronavirus patients last week to 34 coronavirus patients in their care, according to FOX 8.

I'm the host of this party, pal. I got my arse chewed in the covid thread when all these shutdowns started in march and about how pointless and dangerous they were. This all started on March 13th when an NBA game was cancelled because one guy had it and then all hell broke loose and you had mayors and governors crawling over one another to virtue signal harder and shutdown for longer. All during a period where the numbers were way "lower" than they are now. That knee jerk reaction set the standard and caused us to be where we are today... with not a single leader being brave enough to act rationally.

Yep.

Talking about fed guy that’s here to speak
He’s originally from Louisiana

. @LouisianaGov is about to start his latest COVID-19 briefing. He'll be joined by Admiral Brett Giroir, assistant secretary for health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. #lalege #lagov

That's it in a nutshell. Once those in charge got a taste of the power that shutdowns gave them, they were not about to give that up.

The only way to stop this is an open revolt. Unfortunately I just don’t think local business owners have the stomach for it. It would have to be in numbers so large that it rendered the government powerless.

.@LouisianaGov says believes everybody who wants vaccine will be able to get it in 'May-June' time period #lagov #lalege

.@LouisianaGov says about 10% of Louisianans have been confirmed with #COVID?19 so far. 'Numbers in Louisiana over past weeks not encouraging. All trending in wrong direction, which is why went back to Phase 2' #lagov #lalege
