Agree. Even though we all have a general sense of what this is going to look like, the melts will be fun to watch during the news conference.

It has been proven that large public gatherings are what leads to large spikes. Church, Funerals, Weddings, Work / Business Networking Events, Sporting Events, etc. That will be last thing allowed. The call them Super Spreader Events or SSEs.

We should be continuing these large events for healthy, young people to end this quicker. Keep the imunno-compromised isolated. Do our medical experts and leaders really not understand that could work without overloading hospitals? Which were never overloaded to begin with.

Phase 1 is a specific list of guidelines for reopening all less restrictive than the SAH order (other than possibly mandatory masks, which is retarded) at this point, I'll take any loosening of restrictions as a win but I also realize nothing can be viewed as good news on the OT

I’m all for good news, i just think we should be more cautious in our expectations that the stay at home order will end on 04/30/20. There’s a very strong possibility that it will be extended 2 weeks. If I was a betting man, I would bet on another 2 weeks

If that email is real, then the sender either had bad info (doubtful), was imprecise with their wording (possible), or JBE isnt letting us go into Phase 1 yet and gave government departments a heads up (most likely).

But why? All the news is saying we are in the downslope of the curve

the one lifestyle change that has come from this is that I'll no longer be paying $25 a month to get a haircut and I'm just buzzing my head from now on

I would think we would be hearing more chatter if he has already started informing people of an extension.

We’re doing Phase 1 starting Friday.
JBE feels the people are at the breaking point and will not extend the stay at home order but will threaten it.

I agree with this. There is nothing to point to that would justify staying closed.

I agree, but that doesn’t mean that our leadership agrees that it’s enough.

Travel. LSU Baseball. Got to Mass. Parish Fairs. Crawfish Boils. Birthday parties for our friends kids, etc.

We’re very much group-oriented in our weekend activities, I’ve come to find out.

Thanks.

It will get stupid, especially with a lot of employers going under.

You need to relax. You're acting as if the years of our lives are limited or something and that you would like to make good use of yours.
The governor can steal one of your 70 or 80 springtimes anytime he wants. Got it?

That's not accurate. We are all the way down the curve to the flat portion at the bottom. On May 1st, it will have been 4 weeks since our peak. The goal has never been to get to zero because we never will get to zero.

There is no reason to keep this shut down.

as well as the rest of the country...you have to improvise.

Social distancing doesnt mean you cant socialize.

Of course.

I know. I'm pointing out things I could be doing with my family if not for draconian measures.

My faith is important to me. If that makes me a sheep. So be it.

Ours was supposed to be this last weekend.

I suppose we could have one now. But there were 3 or 4 on our calendar that were canceled. Would have been 20-40 people.

I actually like hanging out with my friends. And this is a good way to do it.

Quite the contrary. We've taken full advantage of this weather as much as possible.

Seeing how Texas barely removed restrictions, I'm starting to have a bad feeling about LA.
