I’ve lived in Japan. It’s impossible to argue against Japan, overall, starting with a people who are the most conscientious in the world. Families are small but strong, community ties are strong , they work together for the greater good, they help one another ,they have good values and ideals, they treat other people well, it’s safe, the food is delicious, the wether is nice, gorgeous scenery. Unlike America, Japan rejects the notion of national suicide. Where they lag behind is based on aging demographics, natural resources, sideways economy for 3 decades, population replacement issues etc.
