I would think NOPD and LSP ranks have been taxed the last 12hr. Not sure all hands have been working, but I could imagine some providing security tonight for the Sugar Bowl have been blocking streets and doing sweeps this morning.
Additional attacks might be a major concern, but not the only when making this decision.
