That’s was exactly the point for not doing this, but they said that they had powerful algorithms and AI that would filter out all the non terrorist related shite.
This should have been caught 15 minutes after it was posted max, then they could have quickly found and tracked the truck etc. It’s way more an intelligence failure than a local police failure. We are also supposed to be monitoring all ISIS activities.
Most likely explanation, they are short handed at NSA etc due to the holidays.

And here’s what the FBI has been more concerned with than protecting their fellow citizens. Every fist in that photo should be fired January 20th:
Fired? No, Not summarily.
Heavily scrutinized and possibly fired or punished? Yeah.

Where were the videos posted?

Honest question: how do you settle on that number?

Must be on the bollards because some people say they were on social media, others are saying just on his phone
Posted on 1/1/25 at 10:32 pm to fightin tigers
No one has said that but they keep saying he posted videos on the drive from Houston to New Orleans that are now being analyzed.

I don't think that's how that works...

i thought there was an earlier post that said that he had made videos on his phone while he was driving and that's where they were seen by LEO...it didn't say anything about them being posted anywhere...

Dude was apparently posting that he was a sympathizer and wanted to kill. That should have some pretty quick response time. If not, then what’s the point of monitoring it at all?

To be fair, it's good advice to never speak to law enforcement without a lawyer.
If no one at the mosque had anything to do with this guy's radicalization and so strongly condemn what he did, why would there be any hesitation to try and help police figure out what happened?
Let's call a spade a spade here, some mosques are more radical than others and even if those don't directly help terrorists, they at least have contacts that do. This guy didn't just randomly find an ISIS chat room and decide he was all-in.
His trip to Egypt was probably to meet with contacts that gave him training and resources to pull off the attack.

That’s what they have claimed they have ability to do now, actually much less than 15 minutes but I am just using that number

Sounds like an Isis cult that the leader doesn’t want members yapping.

You're talking about the same group of agencies who couldn't figure out/catch an autistic looking teenager from almost killing a presidential candidate. Not to mention the second attempt on his life.
They're not exactly good at what they do at this point

If he didn't post his videos, and they were just on his phone for the FBI to find, then all this algorithm stuff is just hot air. Right?

President Joe Biden said Wednesday evening that the FBI told him Jabbar posted videos to social media shortly before the attack "indicating that he was inspired by ISIS, expressing a desire to kill."

The name Richard Jewell comes to mind. You can see any number of posts on this thread expressing distrust of federal law enforcement. It's not so hard to imagine not wanting to talk to them. People here say it all the time.

Ah, so the algorithm may very well have pur the pieces together, but not fast enough to get NOPD involved.

So pipe bollards is your cut off? Govt intrusion is subjective. No one messed with the us the US for 60 years after WW2. It's time to put the hammer down in my opinion. Tell the 15 relatives your fine with the collateral damage and see how that goes.
