Neither. She is under attack because of the way she is running the city and the way she is letting her police department disintegrate.
The fact that she is black bothers me not one bit and as a lifelong Louisianian I have a tolerance for freeloading politicians. But I expect to be able to walk around my city without an armed guard.

When all else fails call everyone racist and you’re free to do whatever you want. She should have been disqualified for even running for mayor in the first place because she hadn’t payed her taxes in years. I guess taxes are another racist tool for the white man to keep a black woman down so naturally she should be exempt from paying them. I would have the bill for the difference in her “upgrades” on her desk next week giving her 30 days to pay it. If this were a white Republican mayor doing this in New Orleans people would be losing their fricking minds. I’m so glad i moved away from Louisiana and I hate to say that because that’s home but home is a shithole now.

I really sympathize with this. It's sad how much we just turn a blind eye and accept grift from politicians in this state, but even we can recognize when a politician goes too far. Latoya Cantrell is that politician.
