Katrina provided a golden opportunity to change NO's trajectory.
The screams of racism and "Chocolate City" killed that.
frick that shithole.

I agree. The proof is that Mardi Gras was wonderful in the year or 2 after Katrina. A worm hole opened up and gave everyone a glimpse of what used to be and what could be again.
Then just black cold empty space as it shut thanks to people like Carville.

To be honest. I know people hate "Rinos" but classic Liberals are going to vote Red this next election.
You hear it all over. There is no party line except for progressives.

I don’t know why it has to be painful to be honest about what is going on in New Orleans.
It is painful when something that was a significant part of your life has degraded to the point of being virtually unrecognizable.
NOLA was never a place I would have wanted to live but used to be a place I thoroughly enjoyed spend a night or two in. Now it is a place I have no desire to go too. I don't even want to go to a Saints game enough to go to NOLA anymore. That is kinda sad to me.

So Carville doesn’t have the courage to name the problem. If you can’t name the problem you can’t fix the problem.
By the way, this problem has never in any time or place been able to regulate itself.
There is only peace when someone else rules this problem with an iron fist, and Democracies don’t work that way.

There are Democrats....and then there are New Orleans Democrats. Democrats are incompetent when it comes to running cities, New Orleans Democrats are incompetent not only in running cities but is running just about everything else in yours and their lives. Latoya has a horrendous tax bill and the DA is probably going to jail for tax evasion. The local Congressman, Troy Carter , can't keep up his rental properties and has been cited numerous times for not even keeping them up to slum/war zone level

This is going to confuse the people on the board. The idea that someone from a different party than them says something they agree with will overload their brain. Love him or hate him, its good to see someone that has somewhat of a voice to say this. New Orleans is worse today than it was 4 years ago. 4 years ago I still enjoyed going to New Orleans. Right now, the idea of going to New Orleans doesn't excite me. And the whole pandemic situation changed things in places all over the country (and world). Crime has spiked all over. I saw something today about unsolved murders and that the number of unsolved murders have gone up drastically in the past two years (in the US).
Nobody is mad that a Democrat is finally admitting that crime is out of control. It's that crime is out of control due to their own ridiculous policies. The pandemic didn't cause this. Maybe, just maybe, it was violent BLM riots, the George Floyd fiasco, and the defund the police movement. ALL stirred up by left wing media.
Who wants to be police officer in this climate?

James Carville, walks into the room, jumps up on table, takes a steaming shite, steps off table, proceeds to spend the next 5 hours complaining about the smell and wondering when someone will come clean up the mess.....
Jimmy Boy, YOUR people created this mess.
The policies that make New Orleans a shithole aren't the policies of old, white Conservatives.
Chickens, roost, something something....

No, idiot, the overload comes from watching an idiot like Carville complain about the problems he helped create.
He's not some Joe-Blow off the street, he's someone who is pretty substantial in the Democrat Party.
He's cheated, lied and lobbied on behalf of the type of policies that ruin every city in which they are implemented.

Stop flaunting the stupid “we are creative” bull shite. It isn’t helping that shithole at all.
Same shite has turned downtown lafayette into a “very dark” drug infested wasteland, that doesn’t attract normal people much at all anymore. But enjoy your “arts” while sane folk stay away

James Carville's politics are responsible for everything he hates about the city. He bears as much responsibility as anyone.

Can a cheetah change his spots? He has the ability to help get the train back on the rails should he choose to devote some effort and time. After all he is a "strategist" and a voice that can garner national attention. Unfortunately politics has been bastardized to the point there is no selflessness although that is the foundation it was built upon.

Funny. For being such a "devout" Catholic, I wonder why he didn't say guided by the command of Jesus?

Latoya has no use for him, esp after his comments about her non working city.
