Dude it's fricking Mississippi of all places.
That place is depressing as frick. The one place that makes Louisiana look good.

quote:get a boat and you're not far from nice water. the coast is way better than jackson or suburban memphis.
Why? Shitty beaches and shite brown water. And you still live in fricking Mississippi of all places.

what is wrong with Hernando, Madison, or Bay Saint Louis?

It's hilarious that Louisiana residents are laughing at these Mississippi choices. As if Louisiana is somehow better.

Lived on the coast for a few years. Good water sports and fishing areas, a scattering of good resturaunts and bars, good public school districts and real estate is cheap because its still mississippi.

Oh you'd love all of Jeeps cruising the coast. Sufficed to say you have no idea how charming these small coastal communities can be. There are a good many either very successful or lucky rich people who call this place home. Guarantee if you went out for brunch and then went to see the little theatre play here today your opinion would change. It's nicer here than any place in LA as far as coastal towns go.

Ocean Springs is really nice. However most of the rest of the coast sucks

The coast. You'll enjoy looking at all the Milfs at the Blind Tiger.

Oh I love the beach. If I could I would move to Southern California in a heartbeat.
Just saying...if I'm living on the beach...I want a pretty beach. Why settle you know? Also, I would want to live on the beach of a state that has other decent cities in it.
Please tell me what thriving metropolis I can go visit in Mississippi nearby some of these beach towns when I want a night out in the city?

MS Coast (Bay St. Louis)
Jackson (Reservoir Brandon in Rankin County).
I would never live in Olive Branch.

New Orleans is 50 minutes away down a beautiful old Hwy.

None of the above.
I'd pick the Delta.
