I'm up there on business couple few times a year. Clientele love them some twin peaks, but the last time I went I ruined a pair of shoes and had a guy ram his nose into my knee and ruin my slacks. Damn natives.....when will they learn.

And it's still not, especially when compared to Memphis. Today's murders puts Jackson at 50 for the year. Will probably finish out around 60-65 on the year.

I really think that police force does nothing. DUIs are almost unheard of in Jackson really. Was riding with a friend who was shitfaced and told the officer when he was pulled over that he had been drinking but he was trying to be responsible because he was going to stay at a friend's house less than a mile away instead of driving home to Madison. The cop escorted us to said friend's house. That's how little of a shite this police department gives.

It's sad, really. The Chief is a genuinely nice guy but there is no saving this city. The only thing that will save it is a dictator with a strong sword.
