It literally just came across my newsfeed randomly. Jackson, MS, is not something I've thought about in...well, ever. I found it odd that there were 2 mentions in one day.

Let's not kid ourselves here. I lived in Madison, Miss for several years. Jackson is a hell hole, schools are a mess, crime is out of control, the IQ of the majority of the city council is a joke, and most of the residents don't care.
As I said, there is a reason that crap doesn't happen in Madison and it isn't hard to figure out why.

Side note on that story from 2011:
Skylar Laine, who was a finalist for American Idol a few years back - her boyfriend was the ring leader and she was with them that night.
Her singing career ended with haste. She checked me out at her parent's restaurant a few weeks ago.
