Jackson was a nice place to grow up in the 80s and early 90s. I grew up in northeast Jackson and my family has been there for many generations. People realized that they could move to Madison or Rankin counties and not have to pay for private school once their kids got to junior high. Now you couldn't pay me to live there. Sad really.
