I can remember they stayed at the apartments where I lived and they used the public swimming pool to take baths and wash clothes.
They are awful drivers.
They suck as employers.

quote:Why in the hell are we importing these people into North America without restraint? I truly do not understand why the general public buried their heads in the sand while corporate America and the federal government handed the keys to nearly half of the trucking industry over to these third world cockroaches that literally shite in the parking lots and dump their trash on top of it. They are disgusting human beings.
Anyone who’s ever spent time around Indian people knows exactly why they’re one of the worst, dirtiest countries on earth and it ain’t because of a bunch of 110 year old British guys

I was told in college 20 years ago that India, Brazil and China would take over the middle class. It didn’t happen, stupid arse teachers teaching kids globalization non sense

We have an Indian friend who wanted to show us his country, so we spent 17 days traveling with him - and he covered everything: airfare, accommodations, food, all of it. We flew into Delhi, went up into the mountains, saw wild tigers and monkeys, visited the Taj Mahal, the whole thing.
And honestly? Never again.
The photos make it look incredibly exotic - staying at the same ashram George Harrison once visited, seeing the Ganges, wandering through beautiful temples. But the reality was overwhelming. There are so many people, and the environment is extremely chaotic. Even in the mountains, the pollution hangs in the air like fog.

What in the hell do they do that makes them smell so bad. Do they not shower? D they wipe their arse? Is it what they eat or is it a combo of all of that?
Worked with a few over the years. They would “bathe” most of the time by just wetting a rag and wiping their face and hair and armpits. No soap. And they’d reuse the rag. No deodorant, but rather mask it with cologne. I actually had a difficult conversation with one where I let him know his career would be hurt by his hygiene habits. He actually listened and it got much better. I had to tell him to shower with soap and shampoo every day and apply deodorant. He was surprised we all did this every day.
Not sure if they wipe their arse, but I would imagine not well if so.
They’re nose blind. It’s like generations of stink has evolved their olfactory glands to be weak.
The cologne bath also gave me the worst fricking headaches.

The antithesis of India is Japan.
You should all visit there. Extremely clean, everyone over the top polite, amazing infrastructure and general order everywhere, incredible food, etc.

Watching the youtube videos of indian street “food” vendors makes you wonder how any of them are alive. Vomit inducing food safety standards

Britain was extremely effective at extracting wealth, they evolved to use international corporations and puppet dictators to extract maximum wealth with lower risk (see what happened in Persia and BP). If you have something they want, they found a way to get it.
Britian improved every single place they went to. Every single one. If the British never came to India, then they would have been conquered by other nations long before now. Same for the African areas they colonized. When the Brits were pushed out, every place they'd been in Africa got worse, quickly. To this day, much of the infrastructure.... especially rail... that still actually works in Sub-Saharan Africa was built by the British.

Solid shits must be rare, seeing vids of India and cooking. Saw one where a dude was sitting in a huge kettle of soup, dishing out to customers. Another the guy was rubbing the food all over himself and handing to customers. They are not the brightest bunch and we don't need them here

Holding on to resentment is self harm.
We see it here in the states.

Basically. A quip that, despite breathless predictions from the smart set since the sixties, Brazil will never fulfill its potential.

Ringo is this you?
Harrison convinced the Beatles to make the transcendental pilgrimage to India. Ringo Starr notoriously fricking hated it and was gone within 10 days.
quote:
He had a very difficult and short-lived stay there. In February 1968, he joined The Beatles at Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s ashram in Rishikesh, India, to study transcendental meditation. However, he left after only 10 days due to practical and physical discomforts
He could not eat local or spicy dishes, he famously packed an entire suitcase filled with cans of Heinz baked beans, which eventually ran out.
He later recalled having to constantly fight off tarantulas, scorpions, and other bugs in his quarters.
Incidents at the ashram—such as seeing eggshells secretly buried despite strict dietary rules—made him feel the retreat wasn't what he expected.

I love Indian food at Indian restaurants in the US. In fact this thread has me thinking of Indian for lunch. LOL.
We do need Hindus in India as allies against radical Islam. Hindus seem to get it. Hindu Art is incredible to look at in a way and Christians live in India pretty well compared to how they are treated in some Muslim Countries. So let's not be so harsh on India.

The trains the British built kill like 10 million Indians a year
The fact that they are using the same trains from the 40s or the fact that they have been properly maintained since the 40s doesn't play a role in it? Maybe the Indians need to shoulder some of this.

All these other "cultures" seem to hate the "colonizers" and blame them for everything, but where would these cultures be had the colonizers not arrived? Hunting game with slings and spears most likely.

Nah, they claim they would be absolutely soaring if it weren’t for white people, probably have flying cars by now

all of their “nicer” buildings were built by the British.
And liberals get all butt hurt when you mention this. It's like with Africa, we wuz kangs and inventors, and most of the continent is still a crap hole allegedly centuries after they were "peak."
