I’ve read several articles attempting to flip the narrative on D Day today

I am not linking them because frick them.
One was NBC, one was The Hill, and I don’t recall the third.
Really shoehorning in and emphasizing the allied bombing of French towns during the invasion of europe, which resulted in civilian casualties. On the 80th anniversary of one of the most daunting military operations ever, that saved the fricking asses of Europeans everywhere. Can’t simply highlight and honor sacrifices of those who gave it all to save Europe. Have to somehow denote that the allies, and particular Americans, were at least somewhat the bad guys and implicit in killing civilians. I’m not denying this occurred, and it’s a shame it happened, but collateral damage is a part of it and it’s so fricking par for the course for American publications to try and mislead readers in this day and age into thinking we fricked the whole thing up and we’re not the heroes we thought we were. They try to subtly shite on the graves of American heroes and I just won’t fricking have it. God damn sick of our media, and sick that we live in a time that will never see the likes of the greatest generation again.
End rant

Those people are idiots. The French people in that area absolutely love Americans. They fly American flags year round in some towns to this day.

I have seen a lot with the Israel conflict this constant talking about how civilians are targeted. And, yes, a military needs to limit civilian damages, if possible.
But, I just don't understand how anyone can logically think in a war that all civilians are gonna be safe and sound. That just doesn't seem practical.

This will just fuel the freaks supporting Palestine.
Also, the media seems intent on making America hate America.

There are at least 4 articles on NBC about D-Day and you get your panties in a wad about this one LINK
The guy is flying the American flag and talks about how thankful he is. The article tells a story about what a ton of people endured to win the war and "it's flipping the narrative". Every person they interview says it was necessary but yet you it to fit your narrative.

You are implying that NBC and the Hill are saying the civilian casualties that occurred during D-Day made the entirety of the invasion a net negative. I am having a hard time believing that.
If they commented that civilians casualties occurred, and they did occur, then you are getting upset that a journalist was accurate.
Jesus, do you wake up every morning just scowering the internet for ways to get your feelings hurt?

This country is really going down.
Rewriting history, giving idiots a voice, foolish people lapping up the pablum of the mainstream media...
Does anyone actually belive the latest wave of unwashed, illiterate immigrants would lift a fat-laden finger to defend this country if SHTF?
Sorry, rant over.

That is not one that I saw but it is a step in the right direction. Also you sound shocked that the media would paint America in a bad light. Is what I am saying that far fetched?

My great uncle had to walk through chest deep water and he couldn’t swim and was then pinned down for three hours - the guy on the left and the right of him were shot. One said, ‘Willie, don’t leave me here.’ So my great uncle dragged him out of the water when they were told to move. Then went back for the other guy.
frick whoever tries to say he’s not a hero.
Then fought in Ardennes and liberated a concentration camp. He was drafted last out of the brothers. Poor guy.

Modern Americans cannot stomach total war. That became obvious when with the first bomb dropped on Gaza by the IDF people started screaming "Genocide!".
That mindset is now beginning to creep into history.

Good. I dislike it when people post links for this BS and generate traffic for them.
Pro-tip, if you see an article and the author has their pronouns listed, just move on.

Crazy how the media completely ignores Japanese atrocities and seem to focus every year on forcing the US to officially apologize for dropping the sun on those assholes.

Every single cultural Marxist, liberal and progressive that is in our schools and education systems needs to be dragged out of their classrooms and offices, tarred, feathered and run out of town on a rail.
