What is this crap? I was not going to give you a present so why would I donate money on your behalf. You are lucky to get a happy birthday message.

Facebook repeatedly pushes you to pick an organization as your birthday approaches. I kept dismissing the reminder, and it kept coming back. It’s annoying.

Facebook alerts people on their birthday with some pop up asking them to choose a cause for their birthday. You can ignore it, but the feature is only a little over a year old and we only have one birthday... so I think a lot of people don’t realize what exactly it is when it pops up.

When it first came out, the people who did it actually raised money. But once everyone caught on that it bugs everyone, people learned to ignore it.

We’ll donate your money and stop acting like a titty baby b/c someone said they don’t want to donate. Sheesh.

Yes, I noticed many more of these requests are being posted. I have my own list of orgs to donate to and don’t bother with the birthday fundraisers. I do make an exception if it is a hot babe in my circle of friends. There may be some sort of payback one day perhaps. One can only wish......

Get this crazy idea, you can just not donate anything and move right on with your life.
