Hate to be that guy, but walking alone at 4 AM in the quarter, especially as a woman is basically asking for it.

Rampart can get pretty sketchy at times.

Let's not blame the victim

I don't think he is. His point is valid.
The cirne absolutely sucks around here, but someone can take some easy steps to greatly reduce their risk.

Rampart at 4:30 a.m. is actually a time and place where you should have your head on a swivel

The woman, 53, said she was struck with an unknown object.

Likely something swung by a black male.

It's almost like NOLA is a shitty city full of thugs and crime. Of course none of the people in NOLA will admit to it

I'm skeptical of this although it could def happen during that time and area
BUT there are cameras all over that area now - let's see the footage

I wasn't at all. A competent adult who lives here should know that there are places to avoid at a certain time though.

You can say what you want, but you have to have some amount of intelligence to survive.
What is going to happen if I leave a pile of $100 bills on my front lawn over night?
I'm not saying that what the criminals did was right, but what that woman did was just kinda dumb.

Or, you know, the city could be safe and you could just walk through it without feeling threatened all the time.
