Why would they admit to that statement. Is there bad crime, yes. Is the city nothing but that, no.

I swear, the same people say the same thing in these threads "blah blah blah, NOLA apologists with their heads in the sand blah blah blah."

Almost everyone that defends NOLA in these threads admits there are major problems with the crime. If you don't see that, you're choosing not to read the words in front of you.

All the time =/= 4:30am

I wasn't at all. A competent adult who lives here should know that there are places to avoid at a certain time though.

And a law-abiding citizen would never knock a woman out from behind and steal her shite. Yet you're blaming her for getting knocked out. NOLA has a crime problem that can be fixed, but y'all have to stop apologizing for crime in your city first

I mean, that's exactly right

Especially considering all the crime in BR being reported

Hmmm

Eh, I'll give NOLA a pass on this one. Getting mugged at 4:30 am on a street known to not be the best isn't special to NOLA.

It happened in many more cities than just NOLA. Some of you seem to think it only happens there. Take your blinders off.

Yeah, I'll grant them a reprieve on this one as well. Definitely not the same as the mid-day action.

Read this thread then. You've got Rocket31 acting like this is fake news and a bunch of others blaming the victim. Not a single NOLA person saying that crime is really bad, or saying they have a crime problem. It's just "blame the victim and ignore our problems, crime just happens in cities and we can't do anything about it"

I have. No one is ignoring a crime problem. No one is blaming the victim.

You're inventing an argument.

Walking around a downtown urban area where there are drunks, homeless and drug addicts isnt safe in any city.

You can have a crime problem and still question everything which gets reported in the news.

Yes there is a crime problem in Nola.. Clearly
And Yes this reported ituation does seem odd

I want to be completely clear. I am not blaming the victim. At all.

But..........

A woman walking alone at 4:30 in the morning is running a higher risk of something like this in any city in America.
