Be honest, have you ever met a lifelong resident of Nola who denied crime and thugs?

Or, you know, the city could be safe and you could just walk through it without feeling threatened all the time.

Is there a major city in this country where you can walk through the sketchy bad part of town at 4am without any fear of crime

I tell everyone I encounter, it's a crime free utopia filled with nothing but peace loving responsible citizens. Any reports to the contrary are obviously made up by haters and the jealous.

All the time =/= 4:30am

Dude people get up and start jogging at 5am so that 30 minutes is the difference? I'm not saying walking around drunk at 4:30am is smart, it's obviously not a good decison, but what are the chances you would get mugged in the tourist part of another big city compared to NOLA? I'm going to say the chances are significantly higher in NOLA.

Probably a lot higher than you think they are. That doesn't make her decision any less idiotic.

Exactly so why the frick is it smart for someone to walk around at 4:28 am alone when this city has a reputation for violent crime? Of course she isn't at fault and didn't knock herself out but use some common sense.

I dislike NOLA just as much as the other haters, but this chick got mugged at 4:30 AM in a major city.

It's called "living in a city".

When will people learn

Wonder if she had a job around there and was getting off work. There are plenty of places with employees who work late hours.

She was in a parking garage. I suppose she could park away from work for some reason. I don't know. I was speculating. Maybe she was going to work.

Good point because bar, restaurant, or hotel employees don't work late hours. I know in Mayville everything is closed by 5pm, but there are plenty of places open that late or places that don't close at all in that area.

Once again, its time for terminators to come online. Maybe even female-formed ones that can pass as a lost tourist at night. Any attacks would be...terminated with extreme prejudice.
