Only parents know what life looks like both ways.
I've been an adult without a child and an adult with a step-child (that I've helped raise for almost 8 years now).
Both parts of my life were incredibly fulfilling for different reasons. I could see myself having a fulfilling life with or without.

I embraced the lifestyle as a cope because I can’t have kids and I got divorced from the only real “settle down” type of woman I have ever dated long term. Maybe I will rethink it if I ever date another woman who isn’t a damaged psychopath.
I have a pretty fun life. I keep it hectic enough that I don’t have a ton of time to stop, think, and notice the loneliness and emptiness of it all.
Whenever I start to want kids, though, I see my brother’s kids or my friends’ and get snapped right back out of it. Just absolute nightmares, and none of their parents have seemingly had a good nights’ sleep in years.

Thinking of my friends who are without kids - it’s probably for the better.

No one said there aren't downsides.

You might as well have said you had a puppy for the last 8 years.
Raising a stepchild, while meaningful in its own right, is not the same as carrying a child for nine months and then meeting a little human that is physically and intrinsically a part of you. There’s a deeply primal and spiritual feeling associated with that experience that’s difficult to fully grasp without living it.
I was firmly anti-kid myself until my son was born. It wasn’t until that moment that I truly understood it.

Increasing trends of intelligent, productive, law-abiding people not reproducing at replacement absolutely affects you unless you are near death. If affects you and your children.
Muslims, illegal immigrants and welfare queens are breeding like rabbits. Good luck with that.

People who constantly talk about how great not having kids is are definitely annoying (same as vegans, cross fitters, etc). But let’s not act like many people who have kids aren’t the same way, especially when talking to people who have opted not to have kids. Not everyone is meant to have kids and it certainly shouldn’t be forced because you might feel lonely when you’re 82. People just need to stop worrying about what other people choose for themselves and live their own lives. There’s no wrong way to do it unless you are raising drains on society.

But then what would we argue about on here? L-Thray only goes so far.

Maybe if I wasn’t an active parent. What an odd statement.

I can promise you that I care for her as I would a biological child. Again, what an odd comment.

While I agree with the rest of your post... the above is awful.

Nursing homes are full of older people that have kids that don't care

True
At least with progeny you have a chance at not being abandoned, though.
