Vice comes in sends a dude that's 20 looks 40. Buys beer/ smokes. The store and the employee is fined $500 for first offense. And then the employee is fired. That's why they check id's. Also if you are at a bar restaurant consuming alcohol you need Id to prove your age.

Guy last week, about 60, was asked for id in front of me, his response, "I'm standing right here". Great answer to a comical practice. There should always be common sense exceptions to rules.

The big negative is the weather. Its a rainforest, so you get a lot of precip. Not really more than the Deep South, but it is gradual and the skies are grey a lot.
Some dont like the fact it doesnt have a road connecting to anywhere else, but I absolutely love that fact,.
Pros: Good people, outdoor oriented, tons of wildlife (even downtown) food, fishing, hunting, music, schools etc,
Cons: Its very expensive, and in a rainforest.

In general, yes.
Also the economy is kind of self regulating as people tend to leave when the economy is down.
Anyone unemployed in Juneau just desires to be unemployed.
Kids love it, they get to travel a lot on school trips. I've spent a lot on my granddaughters debate team travel and we're only two months in.

Drove in from Colorado thru New Mexico the other day. The last few miles in new met the billboards are all “last dispensary in New Mexico”. As soon as you cross into Texas the billboards are all “caught with weed? Call ———attorney “.

The laws requiring an ID can be so silly. I understand why this policy exists. At the same time, I once saw an elderly man denied a six pack bc he didn’t have an ID. Guy was at least 70. He looked at the cashier dumbfounded.

But Texas does have a ton of vape shops now which sell Delta 8 or Delta 9 or whatever it is. I think it’s basically weed.
