therapy is a fricking scam, one of the largest.
Let's dig deeper.
Tell us how you really feel, then I will analyze your feelings and try to shoehorn you into some defined, predetermined group and base all of your future treatment on that assessment.
I can't even give you any meds or anything, so even if you are clinically depressed, all I can do is talk to you about it.
Let's begin...

I agree with you that the system failed her. It’s failing you too. You think coddling and empathy and meds are the solution to people who feel hurt. There’s not enough focus on actually dealing with problems or stress. We are now taught that our truth is truth. We go online to validate in echo chambers our thoughts and feelings. “Experts” like you run around feeling sorry for everyone who claims to be a victim regardless of the truth.
She had access to anything she needed. She didn’t have psychosis. She hit a breaking point where she thought the only way to fix her feelings was to terminate the source of any discomfort. Because everyone enabled her and she sought that affirmation and found it everywhere, she never got the reality check she, and more specifically her kids, needed.

Buddy, just because I'm no longer responding to your ranting in your thread doesn't mean I'm going to respond to you here. Especially when you're so ridiculously off base.

Thanks for responding to tell me you won’t respond. Glad we are buddies.

I don't believe it's exclusive to women though. I think it's a sad state of reliance on social media and influencers for mental health guidance. I've also seen some pretty shite advice for men in regards to mental health from some of the grifters in the "manosphere".
I don't believe I made the claim that it is exclusive to females. If we just go back to the original assertion the other guy made that it would help if qualified therapist women spoke out more against a culture that exhibits some traits that could be perceived as narcissitic in nature would be beneficial? Do we have agreement there?

PPD is another one of those afflictions that just coincidentally seem to predominantly affect well off white women - like anorexis and transsexual identity.

I mean I do my due diligence to speak out against shite mental health advice from non-professionals. And I don't engage in podcasts like Call Her Daddy or recommend them to clients.
I'm not going to say X person is a narcissist when they're not my client and I'm only seeing a Twitter/X clip of their podcast.

Sure, it would be irresponsible to label someone from a two minute clip but that wasn't my argument. My point was that we clearly have a cultural issue amongst women, which you and I have common ground on. I'll take you at your word that you do your part in speaking out, which is a good thing. Going all the way back to the original guy's point though, we need more people that are willing to tell women the truth because the modern western woman is getting exponentially more of the call her daddy type messaging than they are getting reality check messaging. I'll use Dave Chappelle as a reference here when he said in a bit that he had no right to assume a woman was a whore just because of the way she dressed, but she must acknowledge that she was wearing a whore's uniform and some confusion may occur.
Of course, we cannot claim someone is a narcissist from a brief encounter, but is it all that unfair to claim that modern western female culture sure seems to have them acting like they are? Or perhaps would it be more fair to say that modern western female culture encourages behaviors that make women appear to be narcissistic?

i mean they would never tell the women it is all the mens fault and she should never have to sacrifice for the family right?

If she actually had postpartum, the correct thing is to get help, medication or both.
The answer is never killing your kids.
