Those are old ones with Hobart metal gearing, not the cheap Chinese plastic shite in the modern ones. Not sure how much high hydration doughs you guys are using, but visit any pizza or bread baking forum and you’ll see the modern kitchen aids universally disliked.

If bread dough is very common in one's kitchen something like an Ankarsrum, Hobart or General Gem makes more sense but people questioning $200-$300 are really going to faint.

I guess it wouldn't be a true Amazon experience without delivery issues. Ordered something Monday during Prime Day and the current delivery status says it's being delivered Monday of next week. It's not something I'm in desperate need of, and if I wasn't out of town next week it wouldn't be a big deal at all, but that is ridiculous and one reason why I've cut back my Amazon usage.

No how their system works is if a card gets declined they send you an email giving you 3 days to enter valid payment. That 3 days starts all over when you change payment. I had 2 cards in there that were Visa GC/previous debit card since discovering this loophole in their billing/shipping process.
Nothing is free but I lock in that price/item availability...if it becomes cheaper I then cancel the original order and order it at the cheaper price. It's essentially an enhanced shopping list. I've saved over $100 this way this year whether from locking in the low price or it getting cheaper. I always go for the no-rush so I also benefit from ordering 1 item at a time so I get $1 digital credit and since the "no rush" goes off of the order date, I still get the item 1-2 days after putting in valid payment.
