We have friends in Finland we send them hot sauce, pralines , and a few other Louisiana things that like but what they like the most is community coffee

Local honey, local jam/jelly/pepper jelly, Gator pickles or something similar, Zapps or Hola Nola chips, dried Camilla beans, Cajun Country rice. Go to Royal Standard and they have some nice Louisiana themed tea towels, gumbo spoons, salt and pepper shakers, etc.

The last time I did this, I also included a couple of mugs from Tabasco. This ended up being one of their favorite items.

I'd always bring Tony Chachere's back to my friends in Australia. They love that shite because their food is pretty bland. Community Coffee was good second favorite.
Just remember that things like cornbread mix, grits, etc. may not make it through customs. Your odds are about 50/50. When I got care packages, about half the time it was inspected and anything like that was taken out apparently due to the risk of bugs. But you know those customs people took that shite home!
