How do Italy’s infection and death rates in the 30-50 age bracket compare to the US? Or the rest of the world?

This is what I’m thinking. I also probably think South Korea is lying as well

WHO is in China so WHO would have to be lying too.

About 1,700 people died every day in Italy in 2019, the vast majority from health factors / “natural causes”. Does anyone know what their TOTAL number of deaths per day the past few weeks is?
What if the majority of the 793 who died yesterday were close to dying anyway from something else?
No idea if this could be the case, just trying to be optimistic.

Didn’t see this in any other post, but read a good article this morning citing these 2 stats re: Italy’s high death toll:
1. Average age of their deaths is 78
2. 99% of the deaths had an underlying health issue.

Scientists have found out that the Coronavirus mutates into two different strains: the “L” type and the “S” type. The “L” type is much more aggressive and deadly than the “S” type strand. I’m guessing that Italy has an unusually high amount of “L” type cases which is why the virus has been so devastating for them.

ets hope it stays the anomaly. I hope the US isn’t about to say: ‘hold my beer”.
I'm afraid New York is on a worse pace than Italy so far.

No I don’t think so. Louisiana looked like theirs or even worse until Italy’s just took off lately. Most likely won’t see that in New York

Yeah, I hope not. It's also just so hard to tell since it would not surprise me if NY is doing a lot better on the testing end than some other places. I know they enacted free testing very quickly.
Nightly news just said nearly 40,000 tests have been done in NY.
The most interesting statistic may be that they said 18% of positives were in need of hospitalization.

Fortunately the feds are setting up field hospitals in New York.

Louisiana has been setting up and running iso hospitals in state parks for almost a week Bro. We are doing a helluva lot of prep in advance of this thing.
