No it isn't.

There are experimental medications that haven't been fully tested, but there are no definitive treatments. It is supportive mostly.

Well thank god they experimental treatments are 2/2 then.

You wouldn't? Two people get it in Africa, had enough time to get brought here and are both fine now.
Not a large enough sample to make a definitive claim as for curability.

The fatality rate is between 25-90%, depending on location. If we are one of the better treatment locations, that is still a 25% fatality rate.

It isn't easily treatable. Management is mainly supportive. IV hydration, maintaining airway, and protecting against other infections.

Well until you have proof otherwise, it looks like we're batting 1.000 for treatment in the US. Whatever we have apparently works.

Is this the end? Should we pull the apocalyptic alarm on the OB yet?

First time a case has been confirmed in the us. Assuming others haven't contracted the virus from this individual before he was quarantined, it probably isn't a big deal.

So should I just kill myself now before the eventual outbreak destroys this country?

In this country? Not really a big deal. Easily quarantined and doesn't spread very quickly. Sucks for the people who get it, but unlike the African countries, we can easily quarantine it and people here actually believe that it exists.

There are also multiple variations of it, some deadlier than others.
