I agree. My mention of the flu was more just that it's something we can treat (supportively) but at times the limiting factor becomes the resources available (ventilators etc). But yea thankfully Ebola doesn't spread anything like the flu, otherwise we probably wouldn't be here talking about it

Exactly.
I was reading the Facebook comments on the local news's Ebola story post. It is crazy how much unjustified fear is out there. Also, the tin foil hats are out in full force.
I'd be more worried about catching the flu this winter than Ebola.

Everyone with the flu this year is going to be running to the emergency room out of fear that they have Ebola.

The fear isn't unjustified. It may go overboard, but this is a scary virus.
If we don't contain it, we could be in for a bad time. That said, I think we can contain it. As long as patients are honest about who they've been in contact with.
