It apears the initial quality level of the 2019 Ram is not as high as one would hope

Thread after thread of problems from 2019 owners on the Ram forum.

Thermostat problems, backfiring exhaust, buggy touchscreen

Might be good reading for those of you in the market.

I always thought Ram was way below Chevy and Ford, no?

According to the ram owners here, these are not the rams of old

They haven’t even made it to the drivetrain problems yet

Last year when I was in the truck market I read the forums for multiple manufacturers. It had me thinking that all of them were going to fall apart at 25k

Drove a 2019 Ram with 2,200 miles on it all day today as a rental on a business trip. BR to Houston and all over town. Small sample size but it is a damn nice truck so far. Enterprise upgraded me from a mid size Kia to the truck for free because “nobody wants the trucks.” Good deal at $30 a day.

I almost got a Ram when I bought my Silverado. The Rams just looked awesome to be honest. Something kept telling me “it’s still a Dodge” and I just couldn’t do it.

I’m a Chevy guy.

I don’t hate Ram and want to like them but....they’re made by Chrysler and that’s always been a giant problem for any vehicle.

I am not surprised. I owned a 2002 Dakota. Engine blew at 60k miles. Have had Chevy/gmc since which have been fine.

Well, it’s the first year of a complete redesign. It’s going to have some bugs to work out.

Their not bad looking trucks, had one for a rental and enjoyed it. But, my Tundra hasn't had any of those type of issues.
