It shows you how their hierarchy of grievances work. Israel is racist, and has power over the Palestinians. Apparently that matters more to them than the rest of their ideology.

I do think victimhood is at the core of their world view. That’s why Israel’s use of never again has been so effective with Westerners. Within modern Western culture, post WW2, being a victim provides moral legitimacy.
Israel’s issue is that it’s not effective with non Westerners. And it doesn’t work with people who care* about the power imbalance with the Palestinians.
*I use the word care somewhat loosely. Muslims and Palestinian Christians are probably the only blocks who really do care about Palestine.

Wondering what exactly the hold up is. Can’t be hostage negotiations because everyone knows that takes years with the Palestinians. Maybe it is the US trying to get out westerns that were stupid enough to visit Gaza and get stuck.

We are the laughingstocks on an international level. Before Trump foreign countries would nod their heads, agree but then do what they wanted. During Trump he called them out and embarrassed them for their duplicitous actions. Now under Biden they are openly humiliating our diplomats. Anyone else ready for some mean tweets and projecting strength through power again?

Not to derail the thread with politics of the matter, but it’s hard to disagree and hard to see how it doesn’t impact current events. The folks behind the scene may garner more respect through strength, but our national leaders do not.

Sounds to me like Iran is threatening to nuke Israel. If this comes to pass the Biden admin allowed this to happen.

It's laughable that anyone expected otherwise. They had a water crisis and instead of utilizing the donated water pipe material to resolve the issue they chopped it up and created the rockets used to attack Israel. If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, then you must return them to dust
