What's a terrorist, exactly? Seems like a label that a powerful entity can apply to someone who opposes them.
I am in NO WAY in support of hezbollah or Hamas or any of those fanatics.
But there are those in our government who would label anyone who doesn't march lockstep with their tyranny a terrorist. Keep that in mind.

pretty sure this is a new phenom so i would mainly be suspicious of new electronic devices.
what an easy way to cull the population from people who express the wrong opinions. all it takes is a tiny bit of powder and the boom comes from your lithium battery

You're right. There are probably people tracking everything that you post and/or say. And the next time that you buy an electronic device, they are going to intercept the package and plant an explosive in it.
Do you realize how absurd that sounds? The Israelis were able to do this because Hezbollah likely purchased a large sum of these devices at once, it's the only feasible way to pull this off.

Speculating after a little online research, the most likely explosive agent used in these pagers is PETN, Pentaerythritol Tetranitrate. It explodes around 375 degrees F. A PETN amount of 10-50 grams will likely kill someone. But it does need a heat source to set the explosive off. That's can be accomplished with a simple ignition filament connected to the pager/phone/walkie-talkie battery.

Ryan McBeth for one thinks this is unlikely. Setting aside the difficulty of that operation if just one of those pagers had been carried on a commercial flight it would have been picked up and the entire operation might well have failed. I think the odds of the explosives idea takes a further hit if this walkie talkie story is accurate.
