Partially for sure. Some people like being told by “ experts” what to do. Even when there is clear evidence that those experts are paid trolls who are ideologically- possessed. Obviously these people skew Left, - Democrats- and their many constituencies.

What we used to call “ healthy skepticism “ is now referred to as “ Covid denial “ and those who don’t buy in are socially mocked and ridiculed.

Yeah it sucks to live in the perennial number 1 on every “best place to live” list.

But masks are mandated in every big city in Texas. As allowed and asked for by a republican governor. The one who just paused the reopening and moved a step back for bars and restaurants.

But the liberals!!!!

He has mandated masks and is currently going after bars and clubs here not following the mask mandate.

The mayor of Glendale, AZ....also Republican....mandated masks in Glendale

ETA: All is Maricopa County is now required to wear masks out in public
