Without a doubt.
Ages ago, a noted American liberal named Daniel Patrick Moynihan, of New York, talked about communities 'defining deviance downward', meaning that more and more behavior is excused over time as being not the fault or no longer a problem, when sensible standards have recognized it as deviant and problematic for all of human history.
Giving them the freedom to do what they want doesn't help; giving them HRT doesn't help; these people still commit suicide at a *ghastly* rate unmodified by society's attempts to accommodate their delusions.
We've bent over backwards redefining the diagnostic criteria and treatments for this behavior, and its not helping them.

I respect the lgb as far as they have a right to be with whoever they want under the law, but I don’t respect the agenda they shove down everyone’s throats for the simple reason that they’ll never be satisfied. Transgender is the flavor now, next it’ll be the polyamorous, then it’ll be the pedos.

It may be, in fact, a condition that .0000000002% of the population may or may not be born with.....I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt in such cases......
But the MASSIVE leftist and media coverage on such an issue have made it easy for those who are just plain mentally ill to demand and be in everyone's face about it is what is sick.
They should be thankful they live in this country, where it is tolerated. 99 percent of Americans RIDICULE it, but we are tolerant of it.

The most disturbing part of this “trend” are the parents of these 7 to 12 year old effeminate boys (I say only boys cause those are the stories I’m familiar with) that insist they are trans and encourage them to be as out there as possible. These kids are merely accessories to these virtue signaling nitwits. I bet some older gay dudes are glad they were born when they were because if they were growing up now their parents might have convinced them they needed to cut their dick off.

A lobotomy isn’t necessary. Sexual behavior is largely controlled by the hypothalamus.
All humans begin as fetuses with female brains. If no change occurs during development in the womb, the hypothalamus will regulate it as a female brain whether it’s in a female or male body after birth.
Usually, if the fetus is a male, a “washing” of the brain with the male hormone testosterone will direct the hypothalamus to regulate a male brain. If this doesn’t occur then the hypothalamus controls a female brain.
Conversely, if a female fetus undergoes the “washing” by mistake, a male brain will develop in an otherwise all-female body.
This is the transgender brain defect. Mental illness in most transgenders develops as the individual matures in a hostile society.

Your implied conclusion begs the question of what is mental illness--all you've established here is a biochemical pathway. Now do schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
You also seem to assume self-proclaimed transgendered people are monolithic. I'm certain there is a statistically significant subset of trans folk who do not have the upstairs mixup you described, causing the downstairs mixup. Once it becomes a cultural totem, you're going to have converts joining the cult.

Take Bruce Jenner for instance. That whole situation with him absolutely is a mental illness. I don't look at them as though they should be outcast or treated like shite. But I also don't feel the need to walk on egg shells as though I should be so careful never to offend a trans person by calling him a "him" rather than "her".
But one thing my mind simply can't do is ever normalize that. It's very much a freaky thing to do.

It is still they just changed the name of it. It is now called Gender Dysphoria in the DSM5 and Gender Identity Disorder and the ICD10 code for it is F64.9.
