I will keep it simple.

Someone I know has a son who is 15, sophomore in HS. Only child. Goes to a small private school. He is a big kid. Not fat my any means, he is just over 6' and not thin, just built big.

He played football in junior high. Not in HS. He started the year off playing basketball, but he quit. He said it was because of his grades. They were good enough for him to be eligible, but it is believed his mom is discouraging him from playing sports.

He does not talk at all. Someone who went pick him up last week told me he got into their truck. Didn't say hey or anything. They dropped him off. He didn't say bye, thank you, nothing. That person asked him if he wanted them to go somewhere to grab something to eat, or if there was anywhere he wanted to go. He just said no.

While that person was waiting for him at school, they get a call from his daddy who tells them "don't tell him about Will Wade" (it was the day he was announced he was suspended), he went on "I am going to talk to him about it when I get home"... WTF?

Outside of school he doesn't really hang out with anyone. His dad is his best friend. Doesn't do anything without his dad.

Would you be concerned about a kid like this?

Buy him a hooker, but don't tell him. Major confidence boost to break him out of his shell.

Today’s kids have no social skills. Everything is digital. Just buy him a sex robot, and be done with it.

No. His Dad is his best friend. Sounds like he's one up on his peers, unless his Dad is a serial killer or something.

If the kid and his dad care so much about LSU basketball that his dad wanted to be the one that broke the news to him on Will Wade then I very seriously doubt the dad would allow the mom to make the kid quit the basketball team. Especially if he's as big as you say. This is a fake story anyways so idk why I'm even fricking analyzing it.

This was my first thought. It sounds like the kid is emotionally withdrawn due to a teacher, or multiple teachers, wanting to check the oil on the big kid. And it is Plaquemine, so all these teachers would be of the barkopotamus persuasion.

At least the kid, unlike the OP, can get a diamond cutter going.

He really doesn't. He doesn't talk.. Well he will answer "yes" or "no". He keeps up with sports. He plays video games sometimes. But kids don't go out?

During the weekend, Friday and/or Saturday night, we would always have a group of us who got together and there was usually people meeting up somewhere. Someone was having a party.. Sometimes there would be a fight behind the levee and people would all gather up, watch the fight, drink..

Why TF would I make this story up?

If you knew them it would make more sense. But I just found telling him about WW thing to be kind of weird.
