Could very well be a water-borne virus or bacteria, which would transmit extremely easily in these circumstances. Most have been working hard hours, without much sleep, and without proper diet throughout this. Mix low immune levels caused by the aforementioned with warm, bacteria ridden flood waters mixed with sewage and a virus doesn't have to be particularly strong to affect you or others.
It could be something that is normally fairly nominal and easily fought off by your immune system, but the right conditions are causing it to wreak some havoc. Drink lots and lots of water, go buy some emergen-c, get good sleep, and rest as much as possible (easier said than done right now, I know) and y'all should have it knocked out within 36 hours.
Edit: EVERYONE THAT IS SICK AND/OR WORKING IN FLOOD CONDITIONS NEEDS TO IMMEDIATELY PURCHASE SOME EMERGEN-C AND OVER-TAKE IT WITHIN THE NEXT 48 HOURS

I don't remember the last time I pooped solid but I'm either not sick or too tired to notice/care.

Good chance its something waterborne with the flooding. Giardia, crypto (less likely), some sort of other parasite or protozoan. Probably self limiting. Or maybe not lol

This isn't a URI like Katrina cough, I've had that Crud for a few days, they are sick as dogs and can't hold anything down.

Post pics of your stool. I'm a doctor.
And that will be $400. Thanks for your business.

Maybe in the water you're drinking? I cleaned out houses for a year after Katrina, and only felt like I was getting a sinus infection the first few days after dealing with the mold. After that, nothing

I helped two different friends tear out sheetrock for 3 different days and caught a terrible cough. I went to the Dr and got a shot. Now I think my wife has caught it.

I would imagine the fecial coliform is off the charts. Proper PPE when working in this environment is a must. Gloves, resperators, etc.

I'm in the same boat. We've been cleaning out houses or storage units since Tuesday. Woke up Thursday with a sore
Throat, constant cough and raspy voice. Decided yesterday I needed a day long break from clean up bc I feel as if it's the mold.

I'm guess it's Vibrio
Not in freshwater it's not unless it's Vibrio Cholerae and that is very unlikely in the U.S even after a disaster. More likely one of the fecal coliform bacterium or a virus such as norovirus

I went to the doc but they couldnt tell me anything.
Maybe it's time for a new doctor.
People need to stop trusting their lives to quickcare places; ie, the walmart of medicine
