Theft, suicide, murder, rape all seem to be much worse than cutting in line.

yes. pulling out in a crowded intersection so that you can "make the light" while it blocks everyone else from moving forward on their green light.

blocking the intersection with your car even though the light has turned yellow and will soon be red. It sometimes blocks two lanes of traffic. But the person doing it is more important than the rest of us so...

These people should be shot.

Why the eyeroll?

Unless you are a hermit with absolutely no one who cares about or loves you, suicide is the most selfish act there is.

If someone does this in a confined space with me I immediately do the same thing. They usually get mad because they can’t hear the other person very well.

Damn I love this idea. Next time someone is right next to me on speaker phone I’m gonna start watching YouTube videos on full volume.

. Mostly the same types who shove their oversized "carryon" in the first empty bin they pass in rows 3-5 then proceed to waddle to their seat in row 28.

My wife said that was common the last time we flew. We were front row on the plane, didn't have any carry-on's. Dude went to jam his bag over my head.
I told him no sir.

Seriously? I think you’re confusing selfish with normal.

Attempting to cut in on a long waiting car line.
I’ve almost been in a few fender benders fighting off perpetrators.

What the frick. Who has that little of self awareness
I go to a lot of live concerts, many times on the floor (SRO). There’s a very specific line cutting that takes place that drives me crazy on the one hand, but I have to kind of respect the hustle on another

Let’s say you are in the middle of the crowd or close to the front. You leave to go pee or get a drink. When you start making your way back, the agreed upon social contract is that you weave and move with the crowd, and if you have to squeeze thru you ask politely. It’s a skill…you kinda have to move like water thru rocks

but some people just plow thru. And most of the time they succeed. And if you watch it happen, you see that they know that the people in their way are going to accommodate them. Once they get enough momentum they can part the sea

Anyway, those people suck

Most people that are that mentally off enough to kill themselves, do you really think they are thinking rationally? I’ve heard numerous instances where they kill themselves because their mind is so twisted up into thinking they are a burden to everyone else in their life. In a way, it’s actually the exact opposite of selfish. At least in their mind.

Of course, there will always be the attention seekers. But to make the blanket statement that suicide is selfish is misguided and flat out false.
