I don’t claim to know cajun French because I live in Acadiana.

It’s the most heavily subsidized and propped up industry in America and they all hate Elon Musk some reason.

Trust me nobody in O&G with half a brain hates Elon Musk. He’s trying to burn fossil fuels in a less efficient way.

I understand what the OP is saying. But it’s arguably the most known and relatable commodity market.

I think just the opposite regarding the oil industry. I have never seen an industry get shite on by so many after producing a product that has revolutionized our world.

Just like threads on here trying to find products not made in China, I challenge anyone to get through a day without touching something made from petroleum-based products. I bet 90% of the people will do so within 15 minutes of waking up.

Stupid fricks like AOC want petroleum banned in the next 10 years. I guess battery-powered cars can eventually replace gasoline, but what is going to be used to replace the 50% of the car made from petroleum-based plastics?

For an industry that affects almost every aspect of our lives, the oil industry should be a lot more arrogant than it is.

I have a good friend in it with the most pretentious idiot wife I've ever known.

Of course she's never worked, drives a new SUV, spends money like crazy and anything you have she has one bigger and better. Everything they talk about is always money money money.

I work upstream and make a decent living but I was also smart enough not to incur a lot of debt and live beyond my means. I could cover my bills on minimum wage if I had to. I'll be fine.

90% of this post was made possible by petroleum products. How ironic.
