I'm sure he had a burner if this is the case.

I wonder how long it will be before the BRPD bans all rugs in downtown Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas?

I hear the mayor and MP have an initiative to ban middle age white men

Ah yes. Back when BRPD could solve crimes and local media here knew how to report on it.
Quick question: Do you think any of the detectives that worked this case are still on BRPD payroll? Their replacements are probably people who regularly can't find their car keys, let alone solve crimes.

Dead white boys from fentanyl overdoses have been filling the coroner's tables for years now. What's so special about this one?

When I was staying in DT BR for the Bama game last year the average BRPD cop looked like they were fresh out of high school. They experience an insanely high turnover. It seems like the vast majority, street level cops stay a year or two and leave for higher pay and a much better administration to work for in a different state. BRPD has to take whatever they can get who meet the minimum standards.

Wonder if BRPD will provide any updates on this.

If the "reward" offered is anything similar to crimestoppers etc, the dude may not get shite but the reputation of a rat.
The guy that called in the body did so via 911, not using Texas EqSearch phone #. Technicalities matter 100%.

The EqSearch guy said the finder would get "part of the reward."

This is interesting from the Facebook page Justice for Nathan Millard. I thought the family put something out there that he died of a drug overdose. Isn't Matt Still the friend of Nathan's who has spoken out since this started?
"I am deeply ashamed by some of the content in this group. It is incredibly disrespectful that your group is automatically presuming Nathan was murdered. He had an addiction and he made a bad decision in BR and accidentally overdosed.
People presume it’s murder because his body was hidden, but I would disagree. If people had reported he had accidentally overdosed, they would’ve automatically gotten every charge in the book regardless of their innocence: that’s the Justice system in this country. So, they hid his body out of fear. It’s not because they killed him, it’s because of the fear.
Nathan was a wonderful man and person. Imagine how horrified his family must be to see these kinds of posts and comments saying that he was murdered despite the evidence against this false claim. That is absolutely NOT okay.
Now, I’m not going to say don’t do your own research, but Nathan died accidentally due to his addiction which people who knew him said he NEEDED help with. He made a decision that ultimately led to his untimely death. It’s not a homicide. Let him and his family be at peace, please…
RIP Nathan"

Please do not put words in the mouths of Nathan’s family and friends and also do not believe everything you read or hear in the media. The toxicology reports won’t even be back for 6-8 weeks. There has been no mention of drugs officially. ?

It makes sense. You get caught dealing to someone that just overdosed and that's your arse.
Better for them to move the body and get it away from their hangout

I agree.
I'm not sure why the friend of the family posted what he posted. I guess maybe they are holding out for other information. He has been interviewed on the news a few times early in this saga.

I remember this case. I was a young patrol officer, so my involvement was minimal.
If I am not mistaken, there was a big ethical/legal issue with On Star refusing to provide the location of the vehicle without the owner having a valid service agreement. Civil litigation followed the case and ultimately On Star agreed to provide the data in the future for exigent circumstances when life was potentially in danger.
We used to tell kids that looked like the victim the deceased’s story when we would stop them coming into the tougher neighborhoods to buy drugs.
Haven’t heard that name in years.

Whats the story here? Upscale apartment off Bluebonnet sounds like Perkins Rowe. Should be fairly easy to learn who the renters of the apartment are. That person is either the body dumper or knows who was. Should all be on camera as well.

He was partying with all the other white construction manager and professional types that are known to hang out at the greyhound bus station and things went bad.
As someone said earlier in the thread I think.

I tried to get him in this thread days before NM was found. I reiterated that the people on this thread cared about finding him, regardless of the “speculation” he might see here. Even mentioned people (didn’t say fr33, but was implying him) looking for NM.
He never responded or came into this thread.
Matt has been friends with him since childhood, not just the last 5-10 years.
