Politicians.
Actors/Actresses.
Musicians.
Nurses.
Then teachers.
All I know is though, I have no where near the patience to put up with a room full of little kids 5 days a week. Mine wear me out enough as it is.

How much should they make for 3/4 a year of work?
It's really 2/3 of a year when you factor in the holidays and their 2 weeks personal leave on top of the 10 weeks of off time for summer.
Maths:
If your average teacher makes 45k a year with some experience, they really would make roughly 65k if they actually worked like the rest of us. Respectable for an easily obtainable 4 year degree.

Realtors. All they do is post pictures of a house someone else designed/built/decorated online and act like they provided some invaluable service when someone wants to buy it

I could endure most any job if I got of at 3:00 every day and got 4 months' vacation every year.

They have one of the most critical jobs, one that is not easy, and it doesn't pay all that well, generally speaking. I really have no issue with teachers patting themselves on the back. What they do is commendable.
Yeah, I have a friend who is a teacher and I give him shite sometimes about being off all summer and all holidays.
But the truth is I could never do that job. He cares about his students and he hates to see that his work gets erased every night when his students go home to unstable houses where they may or may not get food. He tries his best, but he is up against it, not even mentioning trying to teach kids virtually.
I remember how much of an a-hole I was to teachers and I just feel bad for them and about myself. That is a difficult job.

While I do appreciate the bullshite teachers have to put up with, they only work 9 months out of the year. How much should they make for 3/4 a year of work?
Don't forget a week off for Thanksgiving, Two weeks for Christmas, a week for Spring Break, weekends, etc. It's more like 6 months.

Some of May, all of June, all of July, some of August.
If it ain't 3 full months it's close.

My Facebook (trashy, I know) feed is currently full of teachers congratulating themselves on completing a very difficult year ahead of their 3 month vacation.
I’m not denying they had a difficult year, most professionals did to be honest, but teachers love the opportunity to remind us how hard their jobs are and to congratulate themselves.
Obviously this is a very anecdotal observation, but in my book teachers have surpassed nurses for top of the leaderboard in this category. Pretty big upset.
Hey, Jackass, why don't you try being a teacher, having to deal with little snots like your kid all day, and then you come back and take another look at your statement.
I know plenty of teachers who have been punched, kicked, scratched, bitten, vomited on, spit on by little miscreants and it's NEVER little Johnny's fault. The incidents are brought to the parents who claim that it's the teacher's fault that their kid punched the teacher. It's the teacher's fault that their dog ate their kid's homework. THEN the parents, these wonderful enablers (oh my God, not my kid!!!!) complain to the principle's who are so afraid of being sued by these wonderful pillars of society that they throw each and every teacher under the bus.
You think teachers pat themselves on the back too much? For what they do and have to put up with while doing, it's a miracle that it actually gets done and they don't pat themselves on the back enough.
And another thing; How much of your own money do you throw at your job without the hopes of ever being reimbursed fully or even a quarter of full? Huh? Yeah, I thought so. Get out, read a book, and get a clue.

Nurses & Teachers aren’t even on the same spectrum when it comes to real stress on the job (despite the tik tok vids).

I remember the thread where the teachers were bitching about 10 hour work days and needing to do continuing education; then acted like no other profession has long hours and continuing education. Even if you add the CE, I believe it came out to less than 2,000 hours a week (allegedly, they would spend time on weekends/holidays working through lesson plans).
Naturally, they were destroyed by all of the white collar posters about how 50 hour weeks is the low end, and we have to do this 50+ weeks a year. And, when we're on vacation, we still have to keep up with emails and will occasionally have to jump on conference calls.

These things are not mutually exclusive.
Do you know what that means Cletus?

3 months vacation and the job is easy? All the folks here are lined up to do the job, right? Easy Street!

This isnt a coincidence that the two biggest "" Appreciation Days for workers are heavily female dominated with Nurses Appreciation Day and Teachers Appreciation Day
Women need constant positive reinforcement. Is what it is.

Boo fricking hoo. You couldn’t do my job. I couldn’t do your job. That’s how it works.
