They had parents do their work for half the year this year, at least in my city.
A lot of nurses earned it this year. So they get a break for a bit.
I know a teacher that said about 30% of his students never came back from virtual learning. He teaches at a large public high school in the Dallas suburbs. So he had 70% of his kids in class and still had to deal with the virtual shite with the other 30% on top of being a coach.
He didn't complain or whine, but I can see how thats a much higher workload than is typical.

Teachers are worse than nurses because they get 3 months off a year (and every major holiday), and still bitch like they work year round

Spend a couple of days in a school and you'll get their self-congratulatory behavior.
It’s required for me, my kid goes to a good school that requires volunteer hours by the parents. Teachers are still like that in good conditions.

Nah, no different than if kids were in class.
99% of the work was on parents or students, NOT the teachers.
Teachers taught class like always. shite, they only had a 4 day school week here.

You got out because you couldn't control your drinking.

While I do appreciate the bullshite teachers have to put up with, they only work 9 months out of the year. How much should they make for 3/4 a year of work?

You're right Roger, the guy that I just said didn't complain about it, I was just curious of how it went, lied. You, however, who lives alone in Alaska and has absolutely zero involvement in the system is correct.

The bullshite varies greatly from district and school. If youre talking about those who babysit in the inner city, I agree.
Those in the burbs? Nah.

They have one of the most critical jobs, one that is not easy, and it doesn't pay all that well, generally speaking.
I really have no issue with teachers patting themselves on the back. What they do is commendable.
