Excuse me?
I have an EBR, Livingston Parish, Ascension Parish, Rapides & Iberville Parish library card and I've been an active user of the library since the mid 80's.
I can assure you that the demographic that is destroying our community does not frequent the library system.

You would think the LSU basketball player being shot would have been a wake up call.
But nope. Seems like it's just gotten worse.

Heck, even the main library and bluebonnet branches get groups with questionable intentions at times.
But that doesn’t make your statement true.
(P.S. I no longer work for the EBRPL system but I am a librarian - I have a lot of stories about these youths at the library)

You’re one of the resident democrats who worship these thugs and vote for this trash. You must be very pleased with things lately. This is what you’ve always wanted.

Really?
There were a few very sexy librarians working for EBRPL a few years back.
You didn't happen to work at Jones Creek?
and "Yes" when I was too impatient to wait on an interlibrary loan I ventured out to the inner city branches.
There were roudy kids there, no doubt, but nothing like the Thugs that were in the Mall of Louisiana Thursday

You misspelled regress. We are literally headed backwards as far as safety and civility are concerned.

All I can think of right off the bat is Top Golf and Perkins Rowe, both of which are on borrowed time.
There was a shooting near Top Golf a few weeks ago and a shooting in the PR parking garage a month or two ago

That’s actually surprising. Isn’t that the main clientele of that place now?

This hasn’t always been the case. When society decides to start asking itself why did it not use to be this way, why did it become this way, and how do we go back to it not being this way, that’s when society will begin to heal. But it’s going to have to face some uncomfortable truths and make some very difficult decisions first.
It's too late. There are too many loons who will coddle the lawbreakers.
