Not true. The Turks, the Huns and the Mongols all came from central Asia (as well as the Persians). All had significant effects on world history.

The mongols are from Mongolia. Persians originated in Iran. Neither of which are Central Asia.

Ask Americans what central Asians look like and you would get a wide array of answers

I guarantee you most would say they “look Asian” because they were asked Central Asian . Because for most Americans, Asians means being Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.

Canada is awesome. What "part" of Canada do you hate? It's completely a sportsman's paradise.

They look Persian, right?

Maybe with a bit of Asian Steppe genes mixed in from Mongol conquests?

Nope. The Persian homeland is Khwarezm (or something like that) which is split between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. The Mongols are still peoples of the Central Steppes, which to my mind is almost synonymous to Central Asia.

The West Asian Corridor from ancient Anatolia to the Caucuses to Iran is generally considered the proto Indo-European homeland. It's a large region, with some people insisting the homeland is closer to Turkey than to Central Asia.

Well depends on which country and the particular area of the country. But yeah some of the ones closer to China look more eastern Asian while others look more Persian/Eastern European.

I’ve actually been really curious about this area and have been researching out of curiosity.
